Recording method

Can sometimes be found resting on Gorse or Yew in the autumn.

Life cycle

Larvae present May-June.  Adults fly June-July, August-May.

Oak species.

History

The first for Dumfries & Galloway was found at Loch Ken, Kirkcudbrightshire, on 24th July 1996, while the first for Dumfriesshire was found at an unknown site by a person unknown prior to 1996 (MOGBI data).
